About Forward Together
Forward Together consists of the recommendations created by ALA members through the work of the Steering Committee on Organizational Effectiveness. Throughout this process, the term SCOE has been used interchangeably with the recommendations for ALA, but SCOE is only a committee of members, acting on behalf of ALA members. The work of Forward Together will last beyond SCOE and continue to change based on regular review by new member groups. This section breaks down the recommendations as they currently stand but will be updated as changes occur throughout the iterative process. Forward together envisions an ALA that will be a model for other associations and a leader in the areas of technology, EDI, and engagement in libraries.
